Move over Geroge Clooney, Kate Middleton is about to make a surprise appearance in Downton Abbey!
OK, so she's not actually going to do an on-screen cameo. But, according to a memo from the palace, she will be visiting the set at Ealing Studios next Tuesday 12th March.
A representative said, 'The Duchess of Cambridge will visit Ealing Studios to celebrate the success of the award-winning production, Downton Abbey, on Thursday 12th March 2015. Her Royal Highness will tour the Downton Abbey set and meet cast and crew members.'
Prince William has previously admitted to being a fan of the show, after Kate encouraged him to tune in. In December last year, William spoke to Gareth Neame, the executive producer of Downton, at a reception in New York. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gareth revealed that, ''He said that he was really looking forward to the episode that we run on Christmas Day, which is the season finale. So we know that William and Kate are fans.'
Meanwhile, Kate's family are said to be friends of the programme’s historical adviser, Alastair Bruce, and the Middleton's live just 14 miles from Highclere Castle, where the series is filmed.
