Today the Duchess of Cambridge has made her first public appearance since it was announced that she is pregnant with her second child. Kate opted for (you guessed it) Alexander McQueen, wearing a grey check coat dress by her go-to designer.
This is a new look for Duchess, who is often dubbed the royal rewearer, and is using a check which was used in the Spring Summer 2015 collection. Kate has her signature bouncy curls pulled back into an elegant low pony, paired with a matching grey hat by Jane Taylor and drop pearl earrings.

Today the Duke and Duchess are greeting the Singaporean president Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife at the Royal Garden Hotel, who are on a state visit. They will then accompany the couple to the Horse Guards Parade for a welcome with the Queen and David Cameron. After the ceremony they will travel back to the Palace in a carriage procession.
Kate had to cancel a number of public engagements after her pregnancy was announced back in September, due to herhyperemesis gravidarum. She has not been seen in public since the announcement - her last official engagement was on 5 August visiting the poppy exhibition at the Tower of London. The Duchess is reported to have told the the President of Singapore: "I've been looking forward to getting out of the house."
