Kate Bosworth’s Stylist On How She Gets Red Carpet Ready

****Kate Bosworth is one of those rare creatures who never gets it wrong in the style stakes. She is a professional best dresser, whether she's wearing Topshop fringing at Coachella or off-the-runway Christian Dior. We meet the stylist behind Kate's greatest looks this year, Kris Zero, to find out how she gets red carpet ready and how involved her husband Michael Polish is in the dressing process...

Grazia Daily: When did you start working with Kate?

Kris: "Kate and I have known each other for years. We have mutual friends, and our working relationship evolved organically. Our first job together was a cover shoot for US Elle, and over time we began to do red carpet together."

****Grazia Daily: When do you usually decide what Kate will wear before an event?

Kris: "Kate and I talk about the collections as they walk. Kate will send me her favorite looks, and I send her mine. We speak about what would work for events sometimes months in advance."

Grazia Daily: Which is your favourite look of Kate's so far?

Kris: "One of my favorites was the red Jason Wu for Hugo Boss dress that she wore at the Toronto premiere of Still Alice. The monochromatic red was such a fun statement and a beautiful bold move."

Grazia Daily: Kate is obviously a style icon - does she have a clear vision of what she wants or is she open to trying new looks?

Kris: "With red carpet and press tours, it's a very clear vision! But Kate is great at branching out when it's the right look and the right time. For example, Katie Ermilio was a relatively unknown designer when Kate wore her at the Tiffany event at the Guggenheim earlier this year but it was still so reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour with a modern feminine twist. With street style or basics, we try everything. The process is SO FUN and sometimes really funny!"

Grazia Daily: Have you had any near disasters with a look with Kate or any other clients?

Kris: "Once a dress was tailored so small around the neck we were worried it wasn’t going to make it over head! The dress was white, and her hair and makeup had already been done. It was tricky, but luckily everything turned out OK!"

Grazia Daily: Do you dress both Michael and Kate? Is he ever involved in her decision what to wear for an event?

Kris: "Michael has great style to begin with. I will help him fit a suit on occasion. He usually isn't around for Kate's fittings, so he doesn't have the opportunity to chime in much! But when he sees her in the dress just before an event it's one of my favorite things. He just lights up."

**Grazia Daily: How did you become a stylist? **

Kris: "Tons of dedication, really hard work, and persistence."

Grazia Daily: Is there anything that would surprise people about your job?

Kris: "I can't think of anything that wouldn't surprise people about my job."
