Karlie Kloss became an angel at aged 18, but after four years of pink bras and glitter runways, she's hanging up her angel wings.
Karlie is leaving the University of Pink to go to actual university. The supermodel revealed in the March issue of American Vogue that she has a place at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She had a reference letter from Christy Turlington.
Victoria's Secret's senior creative Ed Razek confirmed the news on Instagram, posting a picture of Karlie with the caption: "Karlie Kloss and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career. As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfill her myriad commitments."
It continues: "Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract. Karlie is one of a kind, a very close friend, someone I truly admire and love. She is, without question, one of the best models ever. But she is an even better person. Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me."

Most angels have to earn their wings, walking a few shows before they reach 'angel' status. But in 2011 Karlie Kloss was the first model in VS history to be made an angel straight away.
Karlie isn't quiting modelling though, as she told* Vogue*: “I’ll still be working full-time. I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon." She has major deals with Nike, L'Oreal and Chanel (among many others). Oh and she whips up Karlie's Kookies.
