First the naked pics in LOVE magazine, then the new do… now Kim is inspiring (almost) the entire Kardashian-Jenner sisterhood to go camouflage in her own favourite café-au-lait palette - are there NO LIMITS to this girl’s talents? Jokes aside, she does have her style formula down pat, so it’s no wonder her fellow Keeping Up stars are following suit.
But why now? Until this move, each of the girls have maintained their own personal styles, even when collectively dabbling in the same collection or label – say with their buddies Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy or Olivier Rousteing for Balmain – the girls always manage to make a look their own. So what occasion might call for Khloe and Kendall’s new Kim-over? Is it because of the weather? There’s something about Kim’s lavish car coats, sumptuous fabrics, body-con knits and ice cream coloured pieces that really lend themselves to winter dressing (if you ignore any midriffs and bare legs – clearly it’s cars only for these ladies). And Kendall’s knit dress / shaggy coat combo looks extremely cosy.
But it’s not just for the photo-op. Khloe vacated her white pantsuit (pictured above) when she departed the scene, opting for an entire outfit change and 100% Kim K look: cream coat, cream roll-neck, waisted nude pencil skirt and court shoes. So it’s not just her sister’s colour palette that’s on loan here, it’s her full-blown chic yet curve-enhancing style DNA - right down to the long, tousled ombre waves! Perhaps Khloe fears for the general public’s mental health since Kim’s had the chop? Someone somewhere needs to be representing the caramel luxe of yesteryear’s Kim Kardashian. Khloe – we salute you for stepping up to the plate.
