It seems that lots of Glastonbury fans didn't welcome the news that Kanye West will be headlining at the festival this year.
In fact, many disgruntled Glasto enthusiasts have attempted to oust the multi-award winning artist by organising a petition online.
'Cancel Kanye West's headline spot and get a rock band,' they deplored. Reasons for signing the Change.Org petition- which has racked up more than 11,000 signatures, are pretty varied.
They range from the critical, 'Kanye is a douche. A talentless, arrogant, racist douche, and the sooner he disappears, the better,' to simply 'Kanye is a c***.' There's even the hypocritical 'I love Kanye West. Jesus walks & heartless my two favourite songs. I'll be there, I am signing this for the hell of it,' thanks for the input Lee from London.
Glasto organiser Emily Eavis shared the news of Kanye's booking on Twitter last night and wrote: 'We are thrilled to let you know we have the one and only Kanye West headlining Saturday night on the Pyramid stage!'
Sadly for Emily, many Glasto ticket holders didn't share her enthusiasm.
This isn't the first time festival-goers have complained about the choice of act - R&B stars doesn't go down so well in Somerset, it seems.
In 2008 Jay Z's Saturday night Glastonbury slot suffered a backlash - until he performed and knocked it out of the park, and, there were plenty of naysayers who seemed offended by Beyonce's booking in 2011. (Of course Queen Bey smashed it).
Kanye will probably rant (like he did at Wireless last year before getting booed off the stage) but he might actually sing some of his incredible songs too. And when he does what he does best, perform rather than preach, it's bound to be one helluva show.
Plus, can you imagine seeing Kim K trying to negotiate the muddy fields of Glastonbury with a Hunter-clad North in tow? You know it's going to happen and it'll be epic. In other news Kanye has been posting lots of nude pictures of his wife to Twitter. Because, well, why not?
