It was reported back in July that Justin Bieber had landed a Calvin Klein campaign. Fast forward to now and there he is in nothing but his white Calvins, showing us his, err, tattoo collection.
Justin Bieber is the face of the Spring 2015 underwear and jeans campaign, where he is joined by Calvin Klein's long-time face Lara Stone. They're 2015's Kate Moss and Marky-Mark.
Justin and Calvin Klein go together like Kimye and Balmain - not much comes between Justin and his Calvins (or should we say Calvin selfies). All those upper body Instagram shots have paid off, eh Biebs?
Justin explained to WWD how he used his Instagram to secure a campaign: “I have been wearing Calvin Klein underwear for years in hopes of getting to model for the brand one day. It’s always been a dream. Last spring, I posted a picture on Instagram in my underwear, using the #mycalvins tag. Thankfully the brand saw it and liked the reaction it was getting, and a relationship started from there.”
So how does Justin feel about being this generation's Marky-Mark? He said to WWD: “Of course I’ve seen the Mark Wahlberg/Kate Moss ads. They are over 20 years old and we’re still talking about them today — I was definitely inspired by them.“ Nope he didn't get any bench-press tips from Mark Whalberg. Justin said: "I haven’t spoken to Mark about [the new ads] yet, but I hope he will like how they turned out.”
So did he do any special training ahead of the Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott campaign? Nope this is just Justin. He told* WWD:* “I was very diligent about my workouts leading up to the shoot. I have a trainer and work out daily so it was really about sticking to my routine once I booked the campaign.”
