As we head into the summer holiday season, there's one thing at the very top of our to do list: finding the perfect swimsuit. Thankfully, John Lewis & Partners's 2024 swimwear collection has nailed the brief with a burnt orange style that's so good it's already sold out twice.
Whilst finding the right swimwear fit can be tricky navigating uncomfortable under-wiring, complicated straps and just how much bum cheek is too much (why are all swimsuits actually thongs?), high street hero John Lewis has come to the rescue with a seriously flattering and purse-friendly style. Josta Wood, a personal stylist at John Lewis, has tried and tested the swimsuit and the results are in:

It's not just Wood who's a fan of the swimsuit. The burnt orange one-piece has been so popular, it's already sold out twice, with sales more than doubling over the past few weeks. The subtle texture means the material hugs your body without being too clingy, while the lining gives a super smooth silhouette. A square neckline is flattering on all body shapes, with the option of removable light padding if you want extra support and, what's more, the high leg cut is flattering without riding all the way up so you still get coverage around the leg, hips and bottom if you want it. The belt, which is removable, cinches the waist whilst giving extra detailing that's not over the top.
Luckily, the swimsuit is back in stock (although it's selling rapidly) and has 20% off, taking it from £40 to £32. That's pretty amazing value for something so surprisingly versatile.
