It’s almost 40 years since JPG showed his debut collection in 1976 and since his business really took of in ’82 he has been a pillar stone of the Paris Fashion Week circuit. The schedule seems unimaginable without the theatrics and fabulously old-school fashion shocks of a JPG show – who else would give Concita Wurst a runway finale or persuade Madonna to unleash her, erm, assets onto the unwitting FROW?
