Jamie Dornan Will Not Return For Fifty Shades Sequel?

His portrayal of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades has had a mixed reaction to say the least – while some in the Grazia office have declared Jamie Dornan ‘better with a beard’ others reckon his northern Irish brogue is still very audible despite the BDSM-loving billionaire being US based (the sound of Spector saying ‘Stella..’ in The Fall is hard to forget it seems).

So some fans may be pleased at the rumour that Jamie isn’t planning to sign up for the sequel. Jamie's wife Amelia Warner, and mother to his 15-month-old daughter Dulcie, isn’t happy about him signing up for more films in the erotic franchise which star Dakota Johnson as Grey's submissive student Anastasia Steele, according to reports.

Which makes perfect sense after the revelation that she hadn’t seen the film and didn’t think she would be seeing it. Seems wife Amelia isn’t the only fan not sold on Jamie in the role.

‘She hasn’t seen the film,’ Jamie said at the UK premiere a few weeks ago, ‘and I don’t know if she will to be honest, I would understand if she didn’t want to.’ Hmmmm.

Still, perhaps he’s just a bit wounded by dodgy accent reviews.

One thing seems pretty certain – there’s likely to be a sequel and then some. We’re expecting parts two and three, at least…

The film adaptation of EL James' erotic novel broke UK records to become the highest-grossing 18-rated film ever this weekend – and cinema tickets in London are pretty hard to come by, no pun intended. Unless you go on a Monday, at midday, probably way, way south of the river. The film, directed by Sam Taylor Johnson, beat previous record holder The Wolf of Wall Street and had already achieved the biggest UK opening weekend for an 18 taking £12.5m over Valentine's Day weekend, grossing more than $400 million worldwide and another $91.3 million globally...

Phew.. maybe it’s time to try for a ticket again, for a screening at Monday lunchtime in Streatham, that is.
