“Not that I give a hoot about jewellery. Diamonds, yes. But it’s tacky to wear diamonds before you’re 40,” says the iconic heroine Holly Golightly in Truman Capote’s literary masterpiece Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
That’s all well and good, but we can’t help but think that Ms Golightly would have had a very different opinion regarding diamonds had she seen Messika, the contemporary French jewellery brand breathing new life into diamonds.
