Last night we attended Sushi Samba to celebrate the restaurant's 2nd birthday party - it was a helluva pardy.

From being greeted by samba dancers with bums to rival Kim K's, to copious amounts of sake, to Lily Allen performing, the night proved to be pretty big one.

Here are five things we saw during the night..

  1. Lily Allen

After the sophisticated VVIP meal was over guests eagerly awaited the appearance of Miss Lily Allen on stage. Changing out of her dinner dress Lily took to the platform in a pair of sparkling silver jogging bottoms and a layered organza top. As well as performing tracks from her latest album, Lily also entertained the crowds with a back catalogue or her pre-hiatus hits. There was no lack of sass to her set.

2) Henry Holland takes to the decks

While Lily took to the stage in the main room, before her arrival we found Henry Holland spinning some tunes upstairs in the VIP room. Aside from a small glitch (Henry we won't tell anyone) the designer blasted out classic R&B tunes while stylist-to-the-stars Manny dominated the dance floor with his fash friends.

3) Cute couples

It appears many of our fave celebs decided to use the party as a date night and brought along their other halves. Samantha Barks cosied up to beau Richard Fleeshman, Jamie Campbell Bower and Matilda Lowther were all aloof and cool, Diana Vickers and her man George Craig partied the night away while Sam Cooper was on hand to support wife Lily.

4) Young guns

While there was plenty of people who are more permanently-fixed on the party scene (we saw the likes of Jamie Winstone, Pam Hogg, Christopher Kane, Nicola Roberts and Percy Parker of PPQ fame (who told us he's been busy work on an exclusive collection for Very.co.uk!) the bash also attracted up and coming stars too. We spied Rafferty Law (son of Jude and Sadie) with a gaggle of his model mates.

5) Saki, sushi and so much champagne

While VVIP guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner of signature dishes from the menu including Yellowtail tiradito, Tuna seviche, Black cod anticuchos and Shrimp tempura the after party guests didn't miss out on the food. Canapes for the evening included Kuromitsu glazed pork belly wraps, Samba Rolls: Tokyo sky tree and crispy taquitos. Partygoers certainly didn't go thirsty either. Laurent Perrier champagne flowed, a sake bar proved popular while guests could also order from a selection of signature cocktails. The Yuzu fizz was our personal fave.
