So, we’ve seen the a-listers preparing for the Met Gala, and of course, the gorgeous red carpet pics, but now we are ready to see what actually happens inside the most star-studded, fashionable event of the year. Who had a crafty cigarette in the toilets? Who didn't dare? Which big baby had their nappy changed on the baby-changing unit? And who took the most celeb selfies? Thank God for Instagram. And wowzers: 2014 has not disappointed.
This was the year of the Instagram selfie. Those celebs do love a good picture of, erm, themselves. Especially Lily Allen, who deserves an award for services to the #selfie, after cramming in an impressive 9. Her A-List hits included Kim, Kanye (twice) and Taylor Swift. But, alas, she was pipped to the post, as quality won over quantity, with Rihanna and Stella McCartney managing to snag street-style Godfather, Bill Cunningham, for their selfie. During which, Rihanna, not to be outdone, nicked Bill’s camera for a snap of the snap. And A-list makeup artist Gucci Westman snuck a snap of the snap (of the snap?!). Phew. The selfie has eaten itself. It’s making us break out in a sweat, just thinking about it. And that’s just the beginning.
