Calling all fashion fans: it's time to go graphic. From super stripes at Prada to oversized checks at Victoria Beckham, the SS16 runways were awash with bold and beautiful prints.

The good news? Trying out this trend isn't as tricky as you might think. Workwear is the perfect place to start, with retro-inspired designs perking up even the simplest silhouettes (not to mention fighting off office fashion fatigue). Better still, pick your patterns wisely and they'll keep your wardrobe going right through to winter.

We've raided the rails at Tu and picked out a few of our faves, styling them up to show you how it's done. Grab your inspo below, then click to shop the look. Talk about prints charming...

Shift things up

Tu Graphic

Workwear 101: There's no style more suits-all than the shift. This delicate mono check provides an on-trend update (without messing with that iconic shape). Pair yours with bare legs and a ballet flat today, and a black roll neck and knee highs when the temperature drops. A little bit mod, and very very now.

Increase the contrast

We wouldn't be talking 9-5 style without a mention of the white shirt. A modern wardrobe non-negotiable, wear yours layered under a contrasting printed pinafore for a low key office look. Want to take it into the weekend? Simply swap the shirt for an understated tee.

Suit up

Plenty of shows got our hearts beating that little bit faster this season, but Gucci's bold printed suiting was a total standout. This geo two piece is an office-ready way to channel the look – we'll be wearing ours with ankle boots for that little bit of edge.

Mix and match

Designers love a bit of detail, with everyone from to Kenzo to Jonathan Saunders layering up their looks with contrasting print panels and accessories. This contrast pocket dress gives a nod to the micro-trend whilst still working for the real world. Layer over a simple vest now, and light knit later.

Pinafore, £18

Top, £14
