Stepping out at last week's drive-in screening of Disney'sCruella, the Duchess Of Cambridge's secret weapon was a purple and green tartan coat (along with earrings borrowed from The Queen) by Holland Cooper. And it's not the first time she's worn something from the heritage brand.
Earlier on the royal tour around Scotland, Middleton wore another of the brand's blazers, this time a double-breasted design in black twill, which is still available for £549.
Founded in 2008 by Jade Holland Cooper, wife of the owner of Superdry, the brand has become the go-to for classic equestrian style and tweed (British-made, of course) - sought after for its approach to blending signature country design with city-style tailoring. The collection began with simple tweed separates and quickly evolved into tailored garments, signature wardrobe staples and statement coats - like this one favoured by the Duchess.
Last autumn, Holland Cooper launched a collection with In The Frow's Victoria Magrath, and now the second edit for spring/summer has just dropped. As well as sharp double-breasted blazers - one in pale pink, one in camel, and both with contrast fabric under the lapels so they can be turned up for a pop of print - the partnership has also resulted in two sleeveless blazer dresses that could be worn a multitude of ways (buttoned up with barely-there sandals for a night out, perhaps, or worn open over a shirt dress to prepare for heading back to the office.
