Emma Hill and Georgia Fendley are the duo behind hit accessories label Hill & Friends, which was the talk of the fashion crowd when it launched in 2015, largely because the pair were credited with revitalising Mulberry. Hill, for example, was behind what was arguably the It bag of the noughties, the Alexa– named after the It girl of the noughties, of course, Alexa Chung – and so the promise of a new line designed and run by these two women was very exciting indeed.
Now, Hill & Friends has brought its magic to the high street, producing Label/Mix's first ever accessory collection. The result is a mix of glossy camera bags, mini totes and suede clutch bags, all as lovely as Hill & Friends' mainline.
The four styles of bags are available in leopard print, classic black, red or green and the prices start at just £65. While it seems too good to be true, it is just the joy of Label/Mix, which offers pieces from collaborations with designers at high street prices. The likes of Rejina Pyo, Edeline Lee and L.F.Markey have all produced capsule collections for the brand but Hill & Friends is the first foray into accessories.
Judging by this debut, let's hope it's not the last.
