Harry Styles has been the most 'fashionable' member of One Direction for quite some time. He received his training on the front row at London Fashion Week. He has been awarded for his efforts with a Style Award at the British Fashion Awards. Now he's graduated to the big league, swapping his headband for a Lanvin tuxedo.
It was at the British Fashion Awards earlier this month that we met this new 'high fashion' Harry Styles. He was a little bit Bugsy Malone, a little bit Johnny Depp, a LOT Mick Jagger, in a pinstripe black and red Lanvin suit. He toughened it up with a pair of Saint Laurent £795 ankle boot with side zips. Paris Fashion Week here he comes?
This was the start of Harry's December Lanvin-athon. Last week he did the PJs on the street thing, wearing black and white pinstripe cotton Lanvin trousers with a black open neck shirt and black duster coat to the Glam Rock Christmas party.
On Thursday Harry wore another Jagger-esque Lanvin look - a black wool and mohair jacket with stitch detailing and a black shirt with white raw-cut embroidered detailing. Harry then did the classic polished red carpet look, in a black wool and satin tuxedo with a shawl collar, to the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes on Saturday. Mr Styles is quickly becoming Lanvin's most loyal customer. Watch out Edie Campbell, he might just be going head to head with you on the campaign trail.
But it's not just Lanvin, Harry Styles also looks mighty fine in Marc Jacobs. He wore a pink flamingo sleeveless Marc Jacobs shirt on the X Factor final this weekend - a shirt that could fit right in our own wardrobes. Zayn is also turning to the big Paris houses, as on the X Factor he wore a black Balmain jacket with military silver buttons and red and white stripes down the arms. Could we see One Direction replacing Kimye on the front row next Paris Fashion Week?
As for being a style icon, last year Harry said to *Grazia Daily *about the status: "I have only got like two pairs of jeans so I don't really think that counts."
