A big congrats is in order for Hailee Steinfeld. The star has just landed a record deal, shortly after her movie Pitch Perfect 2 made an eye-watering $115.4 million in the first 5 days.

There seems to be no stopping this 18-year old. Let's not forget she was nominated for an Oscar aged just 13 before landing a major gig as the face of Miu Miu, starring in big blockbusters like 'Ender’s Game' and to top it all off, now she's lining up a music career. It's little suprise considering her performance of 'Flashlight' in Pitch Perfect 2 was incredible, and convinced Republic Records to offer her a record deal.

“The moment that we met Hailee we found her commitment to music inspiring,” said Republic Records’ executive vice president Charlie Walk. “She has the vision, natural talent, and dedication to compete at the highest level. We are thrilled to be part of her musical journey.”

The record company who has signed Ariana Grande, Drake and Nicki Minaj, can't seem to stop gushing over their new artist, with co-founder and chief executive Monte Lipman stating: 'Hailee is a multi-talented artist and among her many gifts, her voice is both unique and undeniable.'

Apparently, the actress is already in the studio recording her debut, including a single that will be released later this year. We wonder if she'll be turning to Taylor Swift for some musical advice. Bring on the BFF duet!
