1. Alexa Chung
In joint first place we have our own style icon of the century, Alexa Chung. She has changed the way we dress for the past few years, and Alexa is ok with us copying everything she does. She said in an interview: "I turned on the TV and I saw someone wearing a Peter Pan-collared dress and loafers and a bob. I can’t reclaim that, can I? It’s my dream, really. Can you imagine how happy I am that everyone looks exactly as I want them to?”
3. Kim Kardashian
In joint third place we have Kim Kardashian-West. 2014 was the year Kim did the nude thing. No no, we're not talking about her breaking the internet with her Paper Magazine cover, but her beige-tastic wardrobe. Pick up Grazia to see her 50 shades of beige looks this year.**

What would the 2014 Cannes Film Festival have been without Blake and her breathtaking couture? She gave us three of the best red carpet moments of the year at Cannes, in Gucci and Chanel. Blake's maternity style was also flawless, working Navajo knits by day and Michael Kors gowns by night.**

5. Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham was as chic as ever in 2014. This year she was (as usual) the perfect face of her own collection, from the white strapless Met Ball gown to VB tailored coats avec gold chain on the pocket.
6. Emma Watson
When she wasn't giving speeches at the UN this year, Emma was making us swoon with her flawless red carpet choices. There was the white Ralph Lauren halter neck gown and who could forget the Christian Dior trouser-meets-dress for the Golden Globes. She was a popular style icon this year, winning the Best British Style Award at the British Fashion Awards.
7. Keira Knightley
****Keira Knightley schooled us in the red carpet this year. Keira has elevated her red-carpet dress code to the prettiest proportions – think princess style, minus the patent pumps… Thanks to her starring role in The Imitation Game, we’ve had new Knightley fashion moments galore – her Valentino Couture gold lace gown added much needed pizzazz to a soggy London premiere.
8. Rihanna
BadGalRiRi covered unchartered territory this year – pink hair, a see-through Swarovski crystal-covered gown, and wearing an anorak as a dress… she even redefined Halloween fancy dress as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle . And if there’s a new tricksy catwalk look in town, the Bajan babe will work it better than anyone. Her street and sportswear styling is still strides ahead of the rest, and yet, uptown elegance come just as easily. There’s no predicting her next move…
8. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Boho came back with a bang. The look was streamlined – no more gypsy skirts or hippy headbands – and found itself a new poster girl in LA-based Brit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Her summer wardrobe of floral maxidresses from cult label The Reformation were paired with nothing more effortful than tousled hair and a chunky Laurence Dacade sandal. For winter, RHW added suede boots, cosy coatigans, fedoras and a palette of autumnal greens, browns, reds and creams.
8. Kate Moss
Also in 8th place we have Kate Moss. This year she stuck to her tried-and-tested style formula: skinny jeans, I'm-with-the-band-boots, leopard print and fringing. Kate hit 40 this year, and she dressed for a year-long party from the red sheer polka-dot dress she wore to Mario Testino's bash to the dusty pink PJ inspired ensemble she wore to a party at Annabel's.
