While you were sleeping a little thing called the Golden Globes took place over in Hollywood. Emma Stone and Julianne Moore were winners on the red carpet, but who went home with a gong? It was a British invasion with awards for Eddie Redmayne, Boyhood and Downton Abbey.
British actor Eddie Redmayne went home with Best Actor in a Drama award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in Theory of Everything. Meanwhile Julianne Moore, who wowed in Givenchy sequins and feathers, won the Best Actress in a drama award for her performance in* Still Alice*.
Best Actress in a musical or comedy went to Amy Adams for Big Eyes, while Best Actor in this category went to Michael Keaton for Birdman. Boyhood was a big winner, receiving the awards for Best Motion Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.
