Giorgio Armani, the designer of Madonna's infamous BRIT Awards cape, has spoken out about the singer after her scary fall during a performance of 'Living For Love'.

The 56-year-old pop legend was dragged down three steps on live TV last Wednesday, after her cape failed to come loose and her dancers pulled it backwards as part of her routine. The designer discussed the incident backstage at the Emporio Armani Show at Milan Fashion Week, suggesting that the fall was Madonna's fault.

Speaking to Associated Press, Armani said "Madonna, as we know, is very difficult". He continued, "this cape had a hook and she wanted a tie, and she wasn’t able to open it with her hands. That’s all there is to it."

Madonna took to social media straight after the incident, to give Armani a shoutout for her cape. Uploading an illustration of the cape desgin on Instagram, the singer reassured worried fans, captioning the picture, "Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! #livingforlove".

Later, the star spoke about the "nightmare" performance on the Jonathon Ross Show and said suffered injuries from the accident, "I had a little bit of a whiplash and I smacked the back of my head" she said. Madge also confessed that the cape had been tied extra tight because, due to last minute changes, she had to walk further in the cape than expected and there were fears that it would fall away too soon.

Despite Giorgio's apparent lack of symapthy, the singer did recieve praise for getting back up and finishing her performance from crowd members and public figures alike. Rightly so, you go Madge!
