Last night British model Georgia May Jagger was in the capital to toast the opening of the Thomas Sabo flagship store on South Molton Street. The huge space will house not only the brand's beloved sterling silver charms and chains, but will also for the first time showcase the German label's new fine jewellery.

We caught up with Georgia - a long time face of the Thomas Sabo brand - to hear about her festive season dressing tips and her mum Jerry Hall's fantasy jewel collection.*

Grazia Daily: When do you treat yourself to jewllery?

Georgia May Jagger: To be honest usually it's just when I’m walking past somewhere and I see something in the window, and I’m tempted to go in. Around Christmas I get really bad – it’s a case of, ‘one for you, one for me.’

Grazia Daily: Why do love working with Thomas Sabo?

Georgia May Jagger: Well obviously I love jewllery and the TS collections are so varied that there is literally something for everyone. From the sterling silver chains to to the rose quartz. And Ellen von Unwerth shoots the campaigns and I love collaborating with her.

Grazia Daily: Are you precious about your jewellery – is it all perfectly cleaned and stored?

Georgia May Jagger: Most of my jewllery I leave at home because I travel so much and I’m always scared that I’m going to lose things. I always take a few rings with me, a couple of necklaces and then some earings and then a statement piece, which will go with everything. I do believe you should wear your jewellery as often as possible though.

Grazia Daily: What’s you jewllery style? Do you like layering up multiple pieces or is it all about the standout statement piece?

Georgia May Jagger: I think it’s about doing both. I really like really chunky pieces but I also like layering rings for day. I want to get more piercings so I can wear more studs in my ears – I’ve only go three at the moment but I love the way it looks.

Grazia Daily: What are you top Red Carpet Jewellery rules?

Georgia May Jagger: I would say stick to one thing, especially if you’ve got a mega-dress on. When I went to Cannes I wore these amazing big diamond earrings, that one piece that makes the outfit.

Grazia Daily: What are your fantasy jewellery purchases?

Georgia May Jagger: Im pretty lucky – I have got some incredible pieces. I inherited my mum’s Chanel jewellery, so that’s pretty amazing. And she has got a really good jewellery collection, so I guess all a lot of my fantasies are to do with her pieces.

Grazia Daily: What are your big tips for festive season dressing?

Georgia May Jagger: I think you should always go for colour at Christmas and that means keeping your jewllery more simple and choosing white stones. But I do also think gold and emerald green are great over the Christmas period – I mean its good to keep with the theme right?
