As December approaches, and the fairy lights emerge from hibernation, the usual question looms: 'What do you want for Christmas?' Except this year, the answer isn't so clear cut. Speaking to friends, the general mood seems to be enough is enough when it comes to presents. That might sound very sanctimonious (or very Scrooge), but if this year has taught us anything, it's that the endless buying has to stop.
Having said all that, there's no harm in some mindful present-giving. As long as you don't go overboard - delivering a whole sleigh-full of gifts - it's perfectly acceptable to buy someone a little thoughtful something that will stand the test of time. Ganni has clearly been thinking along the same lines as us, and has just launched a gift collection made entirely from repurposed materials from previous seasons. 'I love the holiday season, and I love the act of giving. This season we wanted to create a line of products that are responsible, but still super cute,' says creative director Ditte Reffstrup.

Fans will immediately recognise the brand's signature prints - the famous tiger has been turned into an eye mask, a bucket hat and a vanity case - while recycled wool has been used to make ribbed scarves, beanie hats and mittens. Seeing as we'll all be wearing loungewear for the foreseeable, the collection also includes sweatshirts and matching jogging bottoms from Software, the brand's low-impact collection that is made from 50% post-consumer recycled polyester. And with prices starting from £20 for a blossom-patterned scrunchie, it's the perfect collection for all budgets.
Go one, treat your loved ones the guilt-free (or should that be Ganni?) way this Christmas.
