Summer is finally here! Even more excitingly, Winter is coming - tonight in fact, when* Game of Thrones* returns for its 5th season on Sky Atlantic. SCREAM!
Obviously we are beside ourselves with excitement, and overflowing with questions. Where's Tyrion? How will Daenerys survive without Jorah Mormont? And what does the red witch know about Jon Snow that we don’t (and he doesn’t either)?
Last time we were in Westeros, Tyrion had slain his dad and escaped Kings Landing with Varys, Daenerys had grounded her naughty dragons and Arya was Bravos-bound, minus her captor The Hound.
Naturally, when Grazia caught up with actress Maisie Williams last week, we couldn’t wait to hear what was in store for her character.
‘Arya has a new outfit, she left the mainland to go to Bravos so she’s with lots of new characters, seeing new places and having new storylines’, she said. ‘When I first auditioned for the role, I definitely didn’t think she’d be where she is now.’
Crucially, Aria has finally – after three grimy seasons of the same sludge coloured outfit – got new threads. ‘It’s amazing to finally have had a wash and a new outfit!’, she adds, ‘I’m so glad.’
Can she tell us what will become of her sidekick The Hound? ‘You’d have to ask him’, she demurs. Which we are totally taking to mean that he survives.
