Forbes have released their annual 30 under 30 list with 600 game-changers across 20 seperate categories, including Hollywood, music, style and media.
Topping the Hollywood list this year is Blake Lively, 27, who became an entrepreneur (as well as new mum) in 2014 with her first e-commerce website Preserve. Lively said to Forbes about her advantage being a celebrity: ‘“I have the unfair advantage of having an existing brand. I’ll never feel like I arrived. The people I look up to the most are the people that are continuing to up their game.” She adds: “I hope to never, ever, ever feel complacent because that’s one of the most tragic things that I could ever be.”
She is joined on the list by Zac Efron, Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Ellen Page and Keira Knightley. Forbes used social media and industry sources to ask for nominees and find their young stars. Before you ask BUT WHAT ABOUT JENNIFER LAWRENCE? They had a rule that no one could appear on the list for a second time, explaining the Lena Dunham-shaped whole.
YouTube star and founder of ipsy Michelle Phan, 27, is topping the style category this year. Michelle Phan said to Forbes of why she started Vlogging: "The internet was there for me to go on and to express how I felt - to vent my feelings and to rant. I saw YouTube no different than a global television set - and I can have my own channel, network and upload whatever videos I want." She is joined in the category by fashion designer Phoebe English, fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni and designer Simone Rocha.
