It's the world's first glimpse at Angelina's divine wedding dress. It's just as classic as we imagined and no surprises for guessing it's by Atelier Versace, featuring a ruched bodice that nips in at the waist - but it's that full and cascading skirt which really has us gasping. The 39-year-old actress polished off the look with her hair swept back in a bun and adorned with a hand-printed veil covered with artwork by her and Brad's children. The sketches include pictures of the youngsters as well as the Eiffel Tower, zebras, a drum kit and words including "dad" and "mom", but one of their cheeky clan had scribbled "buffock futtock" on the gown.

We now know the white gown was designed by Donatella Versace and was embroidered by the brand’s master tailor, Luigi Massi. “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” Angelina said. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.” Meanwhile, jeweller Robert Procop had the enviable task of designing the bride's stunning wedding band, an estimated 16-carat, emerald-cut diamond worth around $500,000 after he did such a great job creating her $250,000 diamond engagement ring.

Versace sent one of the best emails to land in our inbox, ever - a sketch of Angelina's dress. In the release they write that Angelina also wore a pair of white Versace satin pumps to match her white silk-satin Versace gown.

The wedding took place on August 23rd in the chapel at the family’s estate Chateau Miraval in the French village of Correns. “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” the couple told the mag in a joint statement. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.” An insider said: "It was a lovely, happy day with lots of laughter and meaning that the entire family will remember for the rest of their lives." Oh, how we swoon.

Here are more details that have emerged with the gorgeous shots...

**☆ Brad paid a special tribute to Angelina's late mother **

The 50-year-old star made sure he honoured his bride's mum, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer in 2007, by engraving a tribute to her in stone at the position where they stood to tie the knot. Angelina also paid tribute to her mother on her big day by wearing a special necklace which once belonged to Marcheline. A source has revealed that "it was a small locket with a photo of her mother inside it."

It must have been very beautiful, I'm very happy for them." He added: "She's working now with Brad and I've got a couple of things to do too but as soon as we can, we'll get together, it's going to be exciting."

  • The wedding took place at Chateau Miraval, a small chapel on the sprawling estate that the couple have been leasing since 2008. The wine-growing estate has a 35-room main house, an ancient chapel and working vineyard spread over 1,100 acres.

  • It was a private ceremony attended by immediate family and very close friends only.

  • In advance of the nondenominational civil ceremony, the couple also obtained a marriage licence from a local California judge. The judge also conducted the ceremony in France.

  • The couple's children took part in the wedding. Angelina walked down the aisle with her eldest sons, Maddox and Pax while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals. Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers, the spokesman said.

  • Sources have confirmed that Angelina Jolie DID wear a white dress on her wedding day. A source tells* E! News* that the gown was "very traditional, but very Angie, it was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk." The designer still hasn't been confirmed, however.

  • The actress "definitely wore something that once belonged to [her mother] Marcheline Bertrand. A small gold locket with a photo of her mom inside it." She also "had a veil," and when "Brad lifted it [he] gasped because she looked so stunning."

  • According to reports, "the boys all wore tiny matching cream linen suits which were just like Brad's [tux] while the girls had each chosen a dress to match their own individual style and they had them specially made."

  • Angelina Jolie‘s dad was completely in the dark about the wedding. Jon Voight reportedly told Inside Edition that he did not know about it and when asked whether he had a comment, he simply said, “That’s nice.” Angelina and her dad have had a rocky relationship in the past, but they reconciled back in 2010, a few years after the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand.

  • George Clooney, who is also tying the knot this summer, has sent his well wishes to the happy couple.
