The Great British High Street got even better this year, thanks to the launch of Finery London. Founded by an impressive team of ex ASOS and Topshop power players, it is luxurious, concept-driven design at a genuinely affordable price point.

It’s not about churn-it-out catwalk imitations but top-notch pieces with their own fashion merit. Finery is grown-up and covetable, but not a wallet-destroyer – starting at £5 for jewellery and around £65 for a dress. Oh and they do great shoes too.

‘We want to have our own opinion and hope customers will come to love our unique handwriting – a combination of contemporary- modern with a more vintage, feminine feel,’ brand director Caren Downie tells us. ‘We believe beautiful, considered designs should be accessible to a wider market.’
