September always elicits a certain sartorial excitement for me. Perhaps it's that I tend to prefer autumn/winter fashion, or perhaps it's that back-to-school feeling that's so ingrained within all of us – either way, I start to feel vaguely hysterical about the wealth of choice on offer from the new collections as they arrive. Luckily, some of the very best new season pieces can be found at one place in particular, meaning you need not trawl through endless shops or websites (depending on how you like to shop) and instead just head to Fenwick.

From Versace's signature prints stamped on glorious silk twill dresses to Missoni's striking take on suiting, any nostalgia I had for endless summer days has quickly evaporated with the appearance of autumn/winter's best collections. There are Y2K-inspired stomper boots from Isabel Marant, chic crossbody bags from Stella McCartney and elegant dresses courtesy of Zimmermann.

In case your ardour for jeans had waned, there is also new season denim to get us all excited again. Lemaire's High Waisted Curved Pants, for example, will undoubtedly be a best-seller of the season, while Rabanne's Pantalon Large Denim Trousers won't be far behind. Versace's wool gabardine skirt suit – a little boxy jacket with matching mini pencil skirt – is another highlight (I want to wear it with black tights and knee-high boots for peak '90s autumn vibes), as is Stella McCartney's chic take on the classic blazer.

In terms of accessories, Lemaire's signature Croissant bag is, somehow, still in stock and looks more appealing than ever – it's a great alternative to its slightly more stuffy tote cousin. Isabel Marant's Hobo bag, meanwhile, showcases a more polished take on the noughties shape which became such a smash hit. All in all, this is a veritable feast set to make this autumn/winter your most stylish season yet.

An investment piece to last a lifetime, you can wear this blazer with everything from jeans (see below) to tailored trousers and even throw it over midi dresses.

Sure to sell out, these jeans have the shape of the season and will look great with chunky knits and ankle boots.

The ideal ankle boots for autumn, Isabel Marant's chic take on the Western trend will prove to be the hardest-working footwear this season.

Every wardrobe needs a classic blazer and this one will look great with high-waisted trousers and loafers.

This simple roll neck will be an invaluable tool for autumn. Layer under crisp white shirts, long dresses or tuck into jeans under jackets, either way you'll probably want to wear it every day.

Wear these embellished boyfriend jeans with Lemaire's roll neck and Stella McCartney's blazer by day and then, by night, swap for a metallic top and add heels.

Swap your old LBD for this super-flattering style from Zimmermann. You'll want to wear it for every dressed-up occasion from now until Christmas – and you won't need to worry about what to put on for those endless festive parties.

The perfect tote to stash all of your essentials – and then some – this bag will work for all aspects of your life, from commuting to the office to going to the gym.

Much more versatile than you might think, this dress will work as your favourite new party frock but, during the day, you could wear it with tights, ballet flats and an oversized jacket.

Lemaire's Croissant bag has been a huge hit, so you may want to add this to your basket while you still can.
