Diane Keaton in 'Annie Hall'2 of 11

Diane Keaton in 'Annie Hall'

Recap: In this 1977 cult film Diane Keaton wore her own Chaplin-esque clothes rocking wide-leg trousers, ties, hats and tweed blazers. It'll make you want: To be Diane Keaton.

Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman'3 of 11

Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman'

Recap: We don't think you'll need reminding about this Julia Roberts classic. But just in case, Vivian is transformed from wearing thigh high patent boots and a pleather cap to wearing polka dots to the races and Chanel pumps. It's one of the most-loved fashion journeys in film history. It'll make you want: A Harry Winston necklace and a day at the races

Cher Horowitz in 'Clueless'4 of 11

Cher Horowitz in 'Clueless'

Recap: We didn't need Netflix to remind us of Cher Horowitz' (computer-controlled) wardrobe. The Ailia dress, the Calvin Klein, the yellow check suit... (we could go on and ON). But we do have Netflix to thank for making our favourite 90s chick flick one click away. It'll make you want: A tartan kilt, fluffy pink pen and a convertible Jeep.

'The Babysitters' Club'5 of 11

'The Babysitters' Club'

Recap: This sleepover classic is a flashback to any true 90s kids' wardrobe. They might wear a little too much OshKosh B'Gosh for your current tastes, but there is also plenty of plaid, Mom jeans, geek glasses and pig tails. It'll make you want: A plaid shirt and a daisy chain.

Julia Stiles in '10 Things I Hate About You'6 of 11

Julia Stiles in '10 Things I Hate About You'

Recap: Julia Stiles might play the 'unpopular' sister but we'd pick her leather jackets and white crop shirts over Bianca Stratford's 'popular pink' outfits any day. It'll make you want: A great leather jacket and to go paint-balling.

Blair Waldorf in 'Gossip Girl'7 of 11

Blair Waldorf in 'Gossip Girl'

Recap: The Upper East Side is responsible for a LOT of trends we can get on board with: Blair bands, bright prints, colour blocking tights and preppy accessories. Want more Gossip Girl fash-spiration? Well we're good to you, so head right here. It'll make you want: A blair band and an Upper East Side apartment.

Rachael Leigh Cooke in 'She's All That'8 of 11

Rachael Leigh Cooke in 'She's All That'

Recap: Rachael Leigh Cooke transforms from dungaree-wearing dork to prom queen thanks to Freddie Prince Junior. It's so very 1999, but Rachael Leigh Cooke pre-makeover is a lot cooler than you may remember. It'll make you want: A crop top and geek glasses.

Gwyneth Paltrow in 'The Talented Mr. Ripley'9 of 11

Gwyneth Paltrow in 'The Talented Mr. Ripley'

Recap: Costume designers Ann Roth and Gary Jones were nominated for an Oscar for their Riviera wardrobe. Gwyneth Paltrow's character wears the ultimate resortwear with full 50s skirts, high-waisted bikinis and white shirts. Cate Blanchett's character keeps it classic in cashmere and red lipstick. It'll make you want: A full skirt, a blonde bob and a heat wave.

Winona Ryder in 'Girl Interrupted'10 of 11

Winona Ryder in 'Girl Interrupted'

Recap: Girl Interrupted may not be known for it's fashion, but after a re-watch we can't help but notice Winona's 'normcore' androgynous style. Her character wears breton tees, paisley shirts and mom jeans - not one single dress. It'll make you want: To wear nothing but breton tees.

Tilda Swinton in 'I Am Love'11 of 11

Tilda Swinton in 'I Am Love'

Recap: The 2010 film is set in Milan, so naturally Fendi and Raf Simons of Jil Sander were heavily involved in the costumes. Tilda Swinton said of the importance of fashion in the film: "She comes into this world as an alien, and I think that anybody marrying that sort of industrial tycoon in Milan in the '90s would find themselves daunted to assimilated. There's a uniform you need to be supplied with. You know, to walk the walk and talk the talk in a certain way in order to fit into the very precise grid that that world prescribes people. As someone like Emma, who comes from outside that milieu, she really has no preparation for it. She has to learn the code and so her wardrobe, to a certain extent, is everything." It'll make you want: Raf Simons on speed dial.

Thanks to Netflix we're all stuck in a bit of a cultural time warp, binge watching Dawsons Creek and revisiting Julia Roberts' entire back catalogue instead of keeping up with the new programmes we should be watching. Thanks to Netflix, it's not just our cultural references which are becoming a little, well, dated. We also have a fashion flashback every time we watch 'just one more' 90s flick. Take a look through the gallery above to see 10 of our favourite Netflix style stars...
