MAC have just added an exciting - but unexpected - new name to their roster: Ellie Goulding. Unexpected because ealier this week we were teased with rumours of a potential collaboration between MAC and Caitlyn Jenner, only to learn yesterday that it was all hot air. But this announcement has cushioned the blow for sure.
Ellie revealed the news via her Instagram account, posting a preview of the campaign [left]. "Oi oi SO excited to finally share what I've been working on with @MACcosmetics!!! #MACEllieGoulding drops in Dec/Jan!" she captioned it. Standing with her hands on her hips and working a lioness mane, her makeup is much akin to the flattering neutrals she wears on the red carpet IRL. Glossy lips, softly arched brows and an enviable glow complement her dramatic, winged eyes and full lashes.
MAC also shared a preview of the collection, revealing a range of bronze and peachy hued cosmetics, an icy lip gloss and a pair of long corner lashes.
It's a departure from many of MAC's past colourful collaborations (remember Nicki Minaj's technicolour Viva Glam line and ditto Nasty Girl?) and one that will fit easily into our everyday makeup regime. Now Ellie's radiance is in reach. Roll on the collection launch in December.
