We're obsessed with these mid-range, designer quality handbags...

Elleme

It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago it was near impossible to buy a mid-range handbag. Back then bags fell into two categories: designer (read: starting at £900) or high street, which meant forsaking quality of materials for price. But, then a handful of labels came along to plug that gap in the market and Elleme was one of them.

The label has a store in Paris and is stocked by Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Farfetch, which is always a good indicator of not just taste but quality. The brand’s name is derived from the French words ‘Elle aime’, which means ‘she loves’. Designed by Jingjing Fan, these accessories marry Fans’ Asian heritage with the chic sleekness of Parisian taste. Top of our wish list? The shearling satchel, of course. With a hand stitched handle and soft woolen body it adds texture to everyday denim and if you’re taken by this season’s masculine tailoring this will soften your ensemble.
