It's been a great year for young whippersnapper, and now Oscar-winning Best Actor, Eddie Redmayne. Having put a ring on his school sweetheart Hannah Bagshawe just two months ago, he literally face-planted into her in celebration of his win (for Britain we like to think), when he completed the plethora of prizes for his role as Professor Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
As he won, the noises which emerged from his mouth were more cow-like than human, but we definitely discerned a 'WOW', before he composed himself enough to make a speech.
Telling the Academy he would take care of Oscar and was simply babysitting 'the new fella coming to live in our apartment' for the next generation, he said he would endeavour to 'polish him and answer to his beck and call,' which is good to hear, because now we come to think of it, Eddie does have more than a passing resemblance to the Mr Muscle man when he has his award-winning glasses on...
Well done Eddie, you've done us proud. All back to ours, yeah? We can take turns to polish?
