Watch out, Cara - Dylan Penn is fast becoming the new model-slash-actress to watch. As well as starring on last month’s L’Officiel Italia cover and appearing in Stuart Weitzman's video campaign, the 23-year-old has just been revealed as the face of Ermanno Scervino’s spring summer 2015 campaign. Penn poses alongside Argentinean model Mariano Ontañon in the images, shot by photographer Francesco Carrozzini, and looks truly sumptuous.

In celebration, WWDhasconducted an interview with Dylan to discuss her quick-fire ascent in the modeling world. It gives us a closer look at the daughter of Hollywood royalty (her mum is Robin Wright and her dad is Sean Penn, dontcha know) who was once linked to RPattz and is fast becoming our new fascination.

Here's a recap of what we learned from the chat...

She’s a bit of a shameless tomboy

When Dylan meets WWD, she's wearing skinny blue jeans and a 'badass' leather jacket, accessorised with a sports bag from her self-defense class.

The salary swayed her into becoming a model

“[Modeling] was something I was really trying to stay away from originally, just because I consider myself a really shy person,” she says. “I didn’t think I’d be good at it. But after realising what kind of pay I would get, I decided to swallow that fear and try it out.”

Scervino was drawn to “her contemporary beauty”

The designer cleary has a thing for models from famous families - see previous Scervino faces Theodora Richards and Dree Hemingway - but he encouraged Penn’s efforts to move past her surname and express her individuality. Just check out those bleached eyebrows! “Dylan is a young, beautiful woman, conscious of her background and close to her family but also very independent and determined to succeed in her own professional career,” he told WWD.

She knows her last name plays a part in getting certain jobs

“I’m not oblivious to that fact. But I don’t think I would be hired for things if I was really wrong for the part," she says. "I also think a lot of it depends on personality, vibe, clicking with that designer, that crew or whatever.”

Her dad found out from someone else about those provocative pictures

In April, Dylan posed in the buff for a shoot in highbrow erotica magazine Treats!. “‘I wish you had given me some kind of warning,’” she recalls dad Sean telling her at the time. Now, she says, “I’ll wait a little while until the next thing like that.”

** She leaves her social accounts in the hands of her modeling agency**

“I don’t think sharing so much is that appealing,” she says. “Especially for public figures, it’s important to have some kind of mystery.”

She resisted acting for a long time

“I always knew subconsciously that I would try it out because it’s something I grew up around," she says. "It just felt familiar in a sense but also scary. There is this pressure because of who my parents are.” Her first movie is *Condemned *in which she plays a 16-year-old runaway alongside Lydia Hearst. ****

She wants to write a dark comedy about fashion

“I would like to do something on the fashion industry at some point because it’s a whole world in itself,” she said. “It’s so funny and dark in its own way.” Devil Wears Prada, take 2?

Diesel's Spring Summer 2015 was shot by Nick Knight, starring Charlotte Free and Chantelle Brown-Young. Diesel creative director Nicola Formichetti said about the campaign: “There are so many crazy things happening now that you don’t see people just having fun anymore. The challenge was to work with an avant-garde photographer, Nick Knight, and get him to do something he’s rarely done – which is shoot people smiling.”
