Phwoar Dior! The Pre Fall 2015 FROW In Japan Looks Very Chic Indeed

Phwoar Dior! The French fashion house decamped to Tokyo this week in order to present the first ever runway show for a Pre Fall collection, taking with them an international roll call of really very well dressed people. Sitting FROW-side in the Kokugikan sumo-wrestling arena, witnessing Raf Simons’ curvilinear tailoring layered over sparkly rollnecks, leather knee boots and sci-fi argyle knits storm the catwalk in a flurry of faux snow and set against the Bladerunner soundtrack were the likes of Audrey Tautou, Hailee Steinfeld, Elizabeth Von Guttman and Alexia Niedzielski to name but a few.

With a booming luxury market and an impressive line-up of bloggers, style stars, actresses and popstrels (many of which fulfil all of these roles so greatly they put many of the slash generation to shame!) Dior’s FROW provided a who’s who of the coolest chicks in Japan.

In the gallery below check out model Hikari Mori in a navy satin frock coat, actress/designer/singer Kiko Mizuhara in a party-ready off-the-shoulder red dress, pop star Sumire stunned in a hi-vis orange gown and model/actress Rila Fukushima also redefining the idea of black tie with a long floral embroidered vest layered over a dramatic black maxi skirt. In such a vast range of looks the Japanese crew showcased the many facets of Raf’s fine work at Dior, but there was still one thing all of these ladies had in common: the earrings. It looks like the double studs are continuing to be one of fashion’s favourite things. Kawaī!
