At the BAFTAs Lancôme's team created the makeup looks for 150 faces. It was a military makeup operation, involving a LOT of lipstick - to be precise 300 Rouge in Love lipsticks and over 150 combinations of foundation.
Dianna Agron, star of Glee, wore a red Lanvin strapless gown, with her hair pinned back and beautiful soft makeup. She told Grazia that she wanted something effortless, and she loved her Lanvin look because it was 'so comfortable!'
We caught up with makeup artist Alex Babsky to find out how he created her beauty look. He said: “The dress was so elegant so rather than making the overall look soft I wanted to add some drama to the eyes which we did with the Hypnose palette and mascara.” Here's his step by step guide to the look...
1. I started by creating a flawless base using Teint Idole Ultra 010 and a light concealer - Le Correcteur pro 200W.
2. The eyelids were primed with La base Paupieres pro 03, to give an even, neutral tone to the eyes. I then worked Hypnose palette DO8 DO1 eye shadow onto the lids followed by a soft line of Le Crayon Khol Noir pencil liner.
3. The brows were combed through and shaded with Le Crayon Sourcils 01 eyebrow pencil.
4. The lashes were loaded with Hypnose mascara waterproof.
5. Dianna’s lips were lined in 211 Contour Pro lip pencil, a must have super natural shade that works with all skin tones and colour added via Rouge In Love 200b lipstick.
6. The look was finished with a soft swirl of Blush Subtil 03 Sorbet de Corail contour palette on the cheek bones.

Sarah Jane Crawford
Deep, Hollywood style waves are a great compliment to Sarah Jane’s glossy nude lip - it keeps it very British and fresh.
MyAnna Buring
A navy eye might seem bold on paper, but just going for lashings of mascara rather than a full-on smokey look stops it being too 80s.
Hayley Atwell
Flying the flag for redheads everywhere, Hayley looks resplendent with sharp sculpted cheekbones and a soft glow.
Charlotte Riley
We can practically see our reflection in the mirror-like shine of Charlotte’s hair - we’ve heard a rumour she had a glossing treatment at London salon, FOUR, the day before...
Laura Haddock
Looking princess-like with an elegant, scraped ‘back do and glowing skin.
Holliday Grainger
We’re liking this nod to the 40s with her cute hairstyle - and what elegant brows she has!
Alice Eve
An updo and a scarlet lip are a classic combination, but the mussed-up texture gives Alice an edge.
Lea Seydoux
Hello, screen siren! That red lip is a bold choice with her canary yellow frock but Lea pulls it off expertly.
Dianna Agron
We love Dianna’s bumped-up, mini-quiff - it adds a rockabilly vibe to her look.
Amy Adams
Sleeker-than-sleek locks give Amy a polished finish.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw
The prettiest pink lip makes Gugu the belle of the ball.
Keira Knightley
Glossy waves and soft contouring gives Keira a totally dreamy look.
Rosamund Pike
Our English Rose can do no wrong - look at that artfully tousled bob.
Reese Witherspoon
Woah, mama. Reese’s blonde hair looks voluminous but still soft and understated, and we’re so into her peachy glow. Top marks.
Julianne Moore
Glossy, glamorous curls and a natural, glowing complexion makes for a show-stopping look.
Felicity Jones
Felicity’s sticking to her trademark updo - hey, if it ain’t broke. Also into the peachy tone bringing out her striking cheekbones.
