What a stylish affair George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding turned out to be! Anna Wintour amongst the guests, the groom looking dapper in Armani and a party dress from Alexander McQueen, the weekend-long festivities were enough to turn even the keenest fashion eye away fromthe Paris catwalks. But never mind Mr Clooney, it's Amal and her wedding wardrobe that won our hearts.

From stepping into water taxis to sweeping through the streets of Venice, the Lebanese-born lawyer has been a sartorial delight. We haven't had a glimpse of her Oscar de la Renta wedding dress (yet), but Amal has packed in enough designer numbers to keep us on our toes. So while we eagerly await photos, let's take a closer look at Amal's bridal style…
Stella McCartney
Amal was the definition of chic at her official civil ceremony, wearing an impeccable ensemble that satyed on the side of modest rather than flashy. This time, the wide-leg cream trousers come courtesy of Brit style hero Stella McCartney (which can be yours on Net A Porter for £495). She paired it with a matching cream short sleeve top with a navy trim and an elegant wide-brim cream hat with navy ribbon. It's ideal for the formal ceremony which lasted just ten minutes at the Venice City Hall. She's looking more classic Hollywood than George, no?
Giambattista Valli Haute Couture
When the newlyweds stepped out as a married couple for the very first time, what did the bride wear? Lashings of Italian couture, of course. Yes, Amal showed off those incredible pins in a mini dress by Giambattista Valli, the Italian couturier famed for his super-feminine creations.
The white dress is hand embellished with beaded blossoms and was no doubt made to measure considering it's from the designer's Autumn Winter 2014 Haute Couture collection. Well, when in Venice! (And you're Mrs Clooney).
Alexander McQueen
Rumours began swirling earlier this month that the 36-year-old beauty would be wearing Alexander McQueen to walk up the aisle after she was spotted exiting the Brit brand's London offices. Considering McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton designed the Duchess of Cambridge's glorious wedding dress and Amal is essentially marrying showbiz royalty, it would be a saavy move.
So while we now know that Amal was not a McQueen bride on her Big Day, she did turn to the design house for a pre-wedding dinner. Her red gown with a black brush-stroke print and stepped-hem is reminiscent of the one Michelle Obama wore to a 2011 state dinner, while Eva Green and Joely Richardson have worn similiar creations on the red carpet. It's certainly a fearless choice for Amal who was excellently groomed for the occasion with a matching red lip and glossy hair that really would give K-Middy a run for her money.
Dolce & Gabbana
The first major fashion sighting of the wedding weekend came on Friday when Amal channelled Italian glamour to perfection. This monochrome moment comes courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana and the super-elegant dress quickly drew comparisons to none other than Jackie O. Teamed with black pointed heels, retro-esque shades and hair gorgeously blow-dried, how can a girl go wrong?
