Cheryl Cole certainly likes to keep us on our toes. Not content with sending the world into a spin withher whirlwind wedding, the popstrel has thrown a second wedding bash in London and she wore... black. Wowsers!
Chezza arrived at the shindig on the arm of new husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, who she married in secret during an intimate ceremony in the Maldives after three months of dating. But rather than opting for a floaty white number, she channeled a touch of The Joliein a black couture gown by British couturiers Ralph & Russo. It features a velvet bodice and sheer pleated chiffon skirt. Sophisticatedly played, Mrs Fernandez-Versini.
We reached out to Ralph & Russo's creative director, Tamara Ralph, to hear her take on the look. She told us: "Cheryl looked absolutely amazing last night! Wearing an elegant black silk and velvet strapless gown with sheer chiffon skirt and paired with a bold red lip – the look was perfect for her. I think everyone expected her to celebrate in white so it was really refreshing when she stepped out in black ..."

Indeed, Angelina Jolie is already a huge fan of Ralph & Russo, but Cheryl's Wedding: Part 2 marks her first appearance in the label, which - only two season’s into its official debut at Paris Haute Couture Week - has become known for feminine glamour. Her vampy, femme fatale look was topped off with a slicked-back hair-do and bold red lip with matching mani - there's no denying this is a lady in control. As for JB, he looked just as chic in a black suit, shirt and shiny loafers.

The 31-year-old Geordie and her new man chose private club The Library to celebrate their nupitals, inviting only their nearest and dearest. Of course, Cheryl's Girls Aloud band mates were in attendance - Kimberley Walsh, in full pregnancy bloom, wore a black jumpsuit under a white blazer while Nicola Roberts looked gorgeous in a black and white maxi. X Factor boss Simon Cowell was also expected to put in an appearance.
So it seems the Fernandez-Versinis opted for a monochrome-only theme. Well, if it works for Kimye...
