Erm.. so Cheryl Cole got married last week. Yup, the singer and 'X Factor' judge headed down the aisle with her French boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in a secret ceremony on a beach in the West Indies. The pair have had a whirlwind romance, hooking up three months ago and moving in together just six weeks later.

Cheryl revealed the big news by sharing a snap of her wedding ring on Instagram last night. She captioned the picture: 'I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.'

But - who is Jean-Bernard? Here's 8 things you need to know.

1. He's French

He splits his time between the French Riviera and St Barts. Glam.

2. He runs Cosy Box

It's a luxe pop-up restaurant held at glam events around the world - including Cannes Film Festival. Famous guests include Jared Leto and Paris Hilton.

3. His business partner is called Francky Twister

Yup, Francky Twister.

4. He's a hashtag fan..

Sharing a snap of himself and Cheryl on the Cosy Box Instagram, he wrote: '“#gorgeous @ladyccole at @cosybox #lastnight #amazing #stunning #partying #party #goodtimes #crazy #elegant'

5. And a big ol' romantic

Apparently he bought Cheryl 310 red roses for her 31st birthday.

6. He studied in New York

In a profile by the New York Times, he was described as a university student ‘who summers on the Riviera, spends winter vacations in St. Barts’ and took a year off just to party.

7. He's super supportive

He was in Edinburgh last week to support her as she filmed her return to the X Factor judging panel.

Cheryl supported homegrown talent for the latest round of X Factor auditions, returning to Geordie soil. Stepping on to the red carpet at Gateshead, she said she was delighted to be back in the region and revealed that “Simon is like an older brother” to her. On the fashion front, the star kept it simple in a white dress worn with a pair of nude heels and well, not much else. We're liking the new minimalist approach, Chezza.

Chezza arrived in a monochrome look - a sharp contrast to the bold Stella McCartney she wore at the first round of auditions in the capital. This black and white ensemble consists of a boxy crop top from Jil Sander's Spring 2014 collection that features a cheeky split at the front. She's styled it with a sleek pair of tuxedo trousers by Temperley London complete with side pocketsand a draped effect. For a dash of glitz, Cheryl's expertly added a gold tribal-style choker and she's kept her hair swept back to avoid a golden overload. Talk about sophisticated!

Onto Mel B and she's stuck to a simple palette too including a black leather T-shirt teamed with inky blue skin-tight trousers. All that's needed is a pair of nude heels but - yikes - those earrings are a step too far for us. What's your verdict?

The London auditions for 'The X Factor' kicked off at the Emirates Stadium and Chezza rocked a bold new look courtesy of a head-to-toe red ensemble by Stella McCartney topped off with a pair of twinkling black heels. With straighter-than-straight hair, it's a super-cool look for the popstrel who's done a style 180 over the past year. May it continue!

Our Chezza made her official return to the judging panel by swishing those blonde ombre locks with a plomb. The popstrel opted for a drop-waist dress from Jay Ahr's Spring Summer 2014 collection - it's suitably sexy but the sports-vibe keeps it day-time appropriate. As for the footwear, she's masterfully added a colour pop to the all-white look courtesy of those metallic-blue Tamara Mellon sandals. Result.

Onto Mel B who was sure to stand out for round one of the fash-off. This is the first time the Spice Girl has officially been on the panel and we can't wait to see how she performs style wise. She might have left the classic leopard print jumpsuit at home, but she did amp up the sex factor (ha) in a teeny tiny studded black skirt by Anthony Vaccarello. Mel wisely teamed it with a long-sleeved top to avoid too much flesh-flashing as well as a pair of nude Louboutin heels and a ponytail to keep it simple.
