Charli XCX basically made up the soundtrack to 2014 - with help from Iggy Azalea, of course. The British popstress teamed up with Azalea for the 'Clueless' inspired 'Fancy' - and the charts - and new and old fans alike - rejoiced. Having been making music since the age of 14, the 22-year-old has this year well and truly elbowed her way into the mainstream and into the consciousness of millions who identify with her unique brand of alternative pop.

With her second studio album 'Sucker' set for release February 16th - we caught up with the Cambridge hailing singer to find out which tracks make up the soundtrack to her life...

  1. Song you always dance to...

Rihanna - Pour It Up

Anything by Rihanna. Right now, 'Pour It Up' because it just makes me want to party.

  1. Song you get ready to...

Weezer - Beverly Hills

I remember seeing this music video where they're all in the Playboy mansion and becoming obsessed with this song.

  1. Song you work out to...

Whigfield - Saturday Night

I've never worked out in my life but if I did it would probably be something super happy like 'Saturday Night' by Whigfield because it's a 90s girl power smash.

  1. Song you cry to...

Bjork - Like Someone In Love

I always listen to this song whilst I'm on aeroplanes and it always makes me cry. It's so powerful and beautiful.

  1. First song you fell in love with...

Uffie - Pop The Glock

I heard it on MySpace for the first time and it blew my mind. This song also made me want to rap haha.

  1. Song you wish you wrote / sang...

Prince - Kiss

It's such a sexy song; it's my go-to karaoke jam.

  1. Song that makes you happy...

Bjork - All Is Full Of Love

It's so euphoric and has one of my fave music videos of all time. Chris Cunningham and Bjork are both genius.

  1. Song that defines you...

Shampoo - Trouble

It's a song for all the bad girls.
