Surprise! Beth Ditto Was Legally Married On New Year's Eve

Beth Ditto and her wife Kristin Ogata had a beautiful white wedding ceremony in Maui back in July 2013. But same-sex marriages weren't made legal in their state, Oregon, until May 2014.

On New Year's Eve Beth and Kristin were legally married, 17 months after their Hawaii ceremony. Beth posted a picture on her Facebook page on Monday of her wearing a white dress in a room filled with flowers. She wrote: "Legally married finally, a year later! Thanks everyone who fought to make gay marriage legal in Oregon! In 2015, the whole US!"

Her rep confirmed the news to Perez Hilton commenting: "Since gay marriage just recently became legal in Oregon, they got legally married on Dec 31st."

At her Maui wedding Beth Ditto wore a Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a knee-length tulle skirt and sweetheart neckline bodice, with a short tulle veil and no shoes. Kristin, Beth's former assistant, wore a white shorts-suit and they both had white flower garlands wrapped around their necks.

Beth posted a picture from the wedding with the caption: "So much love and appreciation to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us! And a huge thank you to Jean Paul Gaultier for the dream-come-true dress!"
