Stationary, lunchboxes, PE plimsoles – there's a new addition to the ever growing list of things our children need for school – face masks. It's a checklist that seems like it needs replenishing every term, especially as our children seem to loose their face masks so frequently!
The Department for Education has recently updated its advice on face coverings in schools, following the statement published by The World Health Organisation (WHO) on 21 August on when children should wear face coverings. They now advise that 'children aged 12 and over should wear a mask under the same conditions as adults, in particular when they cannot guarantee at least a 1-metre distance from others and there is widespread transmission in the area.'
