At the risk of sounding repetitive, winter has really been wintering since the beginning of the year, hasn’t it? And if it feels like you’ve been wearing your puffer coat all day, every day for the past three months like a quilted version of Paddington Bear, you might be looking for a more polished alternative as we move into spring. You can always rely on a blazer to anchor any outfit, be it casual or workwear, and it can be paired with everything from a clean white t-shirt and baggy jeans to a midi skirt and trainers.

Rihanna’s been repeat-wearing a creamy white blazer by Saint Laurent, which is made of chevron wool and has also been worn by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Clearly, the blazer is going places – and it’s not hard to see why because, even though both women wore it with baggy jeans, it still looked incredibly smart. And speaking of smart, Claudia Winkleman’s enviable ‘Traitorscore’ wardrobe was basically wall-to-wall blazers from brands like Anna Mason, The Kooples and Saint Laurent (again!), which she tended to wear with leggings and suede cowboy boots for a look that feels sharp yet manageable.
