There’s one accessory the street style set refuse to give up. Yes, Shrimps' Antonia bag must have some kind of record for being the most photographed ‘It’ number in the history of Instagram.
Influencers have built up a trusty relationship with the iPhone-friendly must-have over endless fashion months and some have even gone so far as to share their wedding day with the beloved item (we’re looking at you, Laura Jackson).
But who can blame them, when the grown-up take on a childhood favourite looks so damn chic?
According to global fashion site Lyst, searches for beaded bags have soared by 15 percent year on year. No surprises there. Meanwhile, Pinterest has noted a 110 percent increase in UK-based fashion devotees saving beaded bags for future reference via the digital platform.
But to say that the fash pack is feeling a tad nostalgic this season would be a serious understatement. A plethora of #throwback accessories are dominating our feeds RN from supermodel-approved belt bags to the reimagined ‘dad trainer’.
But with athleisure steering the ‘00s revival, there was much-needed room for the dainty silhouette and ladylike chic that comes hand-in-hand with the beaded bag.
Though its hefty price tag may prove too steep for some. But fear not, as we’ve scoured the shops for the best of the beaded bunch. Look no further for the most coveted item of the season.
Ditch your basket bag and just add cat-eye sunnies to finish...
