Boxing Day is always a day for nursing hang overs, making bubble and speak with turkey left overs and general couch potato behaviour - which calls for an equally relaxed outfit. Its been a busy year, so put your feet up and relax in the warmest and chichest of dressed down outfits. We're talking super soft knits from wool, cashmere and angora in the form of slouchy jumpers, cute joggers, jumpsuits and even socks.
British knitwear brands that are designed and produced in the UK have never been so popular. In fact, one of the oldest cashmere manufacturers that was established in the Scottish Borders in 1902, who previously supplied some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses, was acquired by Chanel in 2012 and launched as Barrie. The fashion forward label is now stocked in some of the hottest boutiques in the world.
Ex - Fashion PR Buffy Reid left behind her hectic lifestyle to launch her own knitwear label &Daugther with her retired father who was previously the Sales Director for Donegal tweed and Scottish cashmere. Her love of Aran knits and classic fisherman stripes can be seen throughout the collection which extends to accessories too. Cousins Anna Singh and Rachael Wood set up cashmere label Chinti & Parker in 2009 and have since become the go-to for fun printed knits in an endless variety of colours.
