We're partial to a dress at Grazia HQ for their easy throw-on-and-go aspect and for summer we have fallen in love with shirt dresses. A classic that every woman should own in their wardrobe, this summer channel a demure button-up granny-inspired floral number, go minimalist in crisp white cotton or channel seventies glamour with Gucci's graphic prints.
Looking smart and chic in the heat can be tricky especially when adhering to strict dress codes but a button down shirt dress often ticks all of the dress code requirements with a high neck, long sleeve and below the knee hem. With an array of colours and styles in the shops we're spoilt for choice, but if you buy only one, our favourite has to be New York label Rodebjer's red seersucker coat style. Roll up the sleeves and wear with Rachel Comey's chunky platforms and youre good to go.
