Benedict Cumberbatch And Sophie Hunter Marry On Valentine’s Day

******Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter had a Valentine's Day wedding, tying the knot in a private ceremony on the Isle of Wight.

The ceremony took place at St. Peter and St. Paul's Church in Mottistone, on the Isle of Wight, with a reception at Mottistone Manor. A source told* People Magazine:* "The church is not that big ... I would say maybe 100 people maximum would fit in there. It's a beautiful setting and very old English, very quaint and pretty."

The Isle of Wight County Press reports that the manor is of special significance to Sophie, as she is related to the Nicholson family who live on the estate. “The manor is home to the Nicholson family—descendants of the first Lord Mottistone—who are thought to be related to the playwright, actress and singer, Sophie Hunter,” they report.

Sophie Hunter attended the Valentino couture show earlier this year with Anna Wintour, leading to Valentino wedding dress rumours. The theatre director, 36, arrived at the church at 3.20pm - her dress covered by security with umbrellas. Although she was spotted with her hair pinned back under a white veil.

The couple, who are expecting their first child this summer, are set to do an Eddie Redmayne and honeymoon on the red carpet. The couple will fly into Hollywood for the Oscars on Sunday night, as Benedict is nominated for the Best Actor gong for his performance in The Imitation Game.

The couple announced their engagement in The Times newspaper last year. Benedict said about his engagement in an interview: "One of the most incredible things about getting engaged, which we had no idea would be coming back our way, is the amount of love that just keeps flooding back. I thought it was just all abut us declaring that we were in love and getting married, but actually it's the world going, 'We love you too!' It's amazing. Family, friends, the world ... it's amazing."
