A Valentino Bride? Anna Wintour Takes Sophie Hunter To The Couture Shows

What does Benedict Cumberbatch's Sophie Hunter have in common with Roger Federer, James Corden and Amal Clooney? They're all under Wintour's wing!

It looks like Sophie Hunter, who is pregnant with her first child, has been given the nod of approval by fashion's steely gate-keeper. She attended the Valentino couture show in Paris on Wednesday with the American Vogue editor. Sophie, who was wearing a white shirt dress, said to* WWD*: "She can take all of the credit. That's the reason I'm here."

So what are these two up to? Perhaps Anna Wintour is acting as her wedding planner (of sorts), leading her towards a dreamy Valentino gown? Ms Wintour has past experience - she is reported to have a hand in Amal's wedding gown and did host her son's wedding last year.

Of course Sophie does have another important task at hand, finding a frock worthy of the Oscars next month. Sophie has been by Benedict's side throughout awards season, wearing Erdem florals to the Golden Globes and the* Imitation Game* premiere. Who would say no to a Valentino Oscars moment, right?

Valentino wedding/Oscars gown or not, one thing is for sure having Anna as a pal is bound to do good things for Sophie's wardrobe in 2015. Plus Anna is a fan of Benedict's red carpet flair - she said that he was the only man to get the white tie dress code right at the Met Ball.
