If there's one thing fashion is hammering home right now, it's that beige is the new black. Not just beige, in fact: one of the biggest trends for summer is no-fuss naturals – think plenty of earthy details like woven textures, fringing and frayed edges.
As seen at J W Anderson, it seems fashion has gone back to basics for the sunny season. And yet this trend will make your wardrobe quite the opposite – a beige or cream oversized blazer, for example, is one of the simplest way to elevate your trusty old jeans in an instant.
From raffia totes to shell jewellery (think not of the stuff you wore on the beach in the '90s – this year's iteration is far more chic) and luxe sandals, there's plenty of ways in which you can channel the naturals trend – and it won't make too big a dent in your pay cheque, either. The high street is awash with everything from sun dresses to midi skirts, which all look far more expensive than their price tags would suggest.
