Ever wondered what it would look like if your favourite Brazilian brand collaborated with your favourite British brand? Well, even if you aren't part of the small percentage of the population who have wondered such a thing, let us tell you the result is absolutely worth your attention. I am, of course, referring to Barbour x Farm Rio's debut partnership. Now, before you wonder how on earth a British outerwear brand and a Brazilian brand could possibly find common ground, rest assured that this is no arbitrary pairing. In fact, it's so polar opposite, it's brilliant.
When you think of Barbour, it might conjure up images of drizzly dog walks, waxed jackets and sleepy countryside towns. Alternatively, when you think of Farm Rio, you might think of sunrise strolls, tropical prints and pina coladas at 3 pm. However, despite the fact that on paper, the two brands couldn't possibly be more different, the final result is rather excellent. The collection was shot in the Cotswolds, with model Imogen Waterhouse front and centre, and the pieces include clothing, footwear, accessories and outerwear. With each piece adorned in one of three new (and exclusive) prints, each style is as eclectic as you'd imagine.

The standout piece of the entire collection is, without a doubt, the Maria-Clara Wax Jacket, a khaki green jacket with floral patch pockets and delicate frill detailing. It's the ultimate blend of Barbour's practicality (that we know and love) and Farm Rio's playful flair. Plus, you can style the jacket with a trusty pair of Hunter wellies and a chunky roll neck for weekend dog walks, or switch to straight-leg jeans and pointed-toe boots to take it to the city.

Barbour x Farm Rio's collaboration comes off the back of an entire summer of stellar partnerships, whether it's Zara joining forces with Havaianas or Marks & Spencer and Olivia von Halle creating a line of beautifully maximalist sleepwear. Barbour x Farm Rio adds to that line-up of utterly excellent, but also incredibly unexpected pairings. In fact, Farm Rio's co-founder and creative director, Katia Barros says: 'The collection beautifully balances British heritage, evident in classic silhouettes and timeless patterns, with the wild beauty of Brazil, expressed through bold colour combinations, spirited motifs and complementary details like embroidered patches on tailored outerwear.' Perhaps the spirit of 2025's fashion is in practicality and personality – and Barbour x Farm Rio certainly bottles both. I'm calling it countryside meets carnival, and it might just be the most fun union fashion's seen in a little while. Shop the collaboration below.
