We Join The EE Bafta Rising Star Panel (And Meet Nominee Jack O’Connell)

Back in November I had the honour of being on the 2015 EE Rising Star Award Jury. And today I was back at BAFTA HQ in London where the five nominees who we all deliberated over last year, were revealed.

I was very pleased to see Unbroken and Skins actor Jack O’Connell on the list, who was there for the big reveal. Also on the final list is Wolf Of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie, The Fantastic Four’s Miles Teller, Belle’s Gugu Mbatha-Raw and The Fault In Our Star’s Shailene Woodley.

Jack said, ‘Thank you to BAFTA and the jury. I'm honoured to be considered for the EE Rising Star Award amongst such a talented field; especially for films which I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of.’

This is the tenth anniversary of the award, whose first winner was James McAvoy. It identifies actors and actresses destined for future film stardom. The best bit is that the winner is chosen by the public. To vote, visit here.
